2010

*TEAM WILDCAT RETURN TO THE OVALS*

After a season lay off in 2009. We are making the switch to UK OVAL LEGENDS.

Although the cars are the same, the track layouts are definately not. Swapping the swoops and climbs of cadwell park, wide flowing bends of silverstone, we take on the challenges set by the quarter mile long, banked tarmac ovals shouded in armco.

Afull season is proposed with several feature trophies to battle for, including WORLD+UK POINTS TITLES and coverted NATIONAL CHAMPION.

Race dates are many and spread around the uk ovals

  • CRASHED OUT AT CROFT The latest round of the DDMC championship at croft was a day of mixed weather. With sunshine and showers ,at the grid call the sun was out ,so slick tyres was the call.  The first half of the race was filled with a great battle with three other cars , Which after several laps and multiple passes each i cleared them and set off after second place in class .After two laps i was on his tail , then the heavens opened still pushing hard in the rain i set up the pass for the tower bend . But i lost temperature in the rear slick tyres and the car stepped out of shape at high speed through the chicane pitching me into  multiple spins resulting in the car leaving the track and making contact with the tyre barrier which broke the steering rack and ending my race
  • FIRST 2008 OUTING The first race of the year for the wildcat legend car was to Anglesea,due to champ rules i was forced to start all the days races from last place on the grid , this considered i was very happy with the results of the day making up at leased ten places to finish sixteenth on the days results
  • DDMC ROUND 3.  The saturday one day round was a wet/dry/wet affair. As i sat on the grid waiting for the green lights,on slick tyres the rain began. race started ,in the mellay of the slippy first lap i made contact ,dislodging a front wing, after a visit to the pits ,i rejoined only to have a broken throttle cable prevent a finish
  • FIRST DDMC RACE WEEKEND COMPLETED   The first outing at Croft this weekend resulted in a solid start to the season with two finishes from two starts.  With a couple of areas to work on with the newly built car the lap times look set to tumble. the competition has been assessed and main rivels noted.

  • TEAM WILDCAT ATTRACT ATTENTIONS OF F&G COMMERCIALS.  The local Daf truck /LDVvan dealer F&G commercials, based in Huddersfield and Barnsley, have committed their support for the July Legend car's meeting held at Donnington park . Taking full advantage of Team Wildcat's delux hospitality package created for themselves and guests to greatly enjoy this prestigious race weekend, which includes the British and European Truck championship and Pickup Truck racing who are shareing the race card with the fantastic Legend Cars championship
  • Locost gets slicker for 2008. Using Avon full slick tyres, due to a change of class, within the Darlington & District,  Sports & Saloon car championships new structure
  •  
  • Team Wildcat set to stay local in 2008. Using both Legend car and Locost at selected meetings of two championships one in the UK Legends and the other in the D & DMC  Sport & Saloons

 

2007

  • Team awarded tenth place overall in the INEX Legend world points standings 2007 
  • Team Wildcat achieved second place in UK Legends Rookie championship 2007 after a mixed season of thrills and several spills
